The Philadelphia Eagles have the likes of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith in their wide receiver room. However, the franchise's general manager, Howie Roseman, still regrets not landing a superstar wide receiver on their roster when he had the opportunity.

The Eagles have made it to the postseason for the last four years. They have made it to the Super Bowl twice and won it all in New Orleans earlier this year.

During an episode of the "Bussin' With the Boys" show, Roseman opened up about passing on a four-time Pro Bowler in the 2020 NFL Draft. The Eagles' GM revealed that not drafting Minnesota Vikings' WR Justin Jefferson was a huge mistake.

"I think there’s one who is pretty obvious, one guy we didn’t draft that’s going to the HOF.. The mistakes kill me.. It made me think, ‘Why are we picking certain guys?’" Roseman said.

But he is glad that despite these mistakes, the team has performed well and brought the Vince Lombardi Trophy to Philadelphia.

"But if we don’t make mistakes like that, we probably don’t play in 2 Super Bowls in the last 3 years.. Don’t overthink things.. When you are staring at good players, just take them," he said.

The Minnesota Vikings drafted Jefferson at No. 22 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. At 26, he already has multiple league and franchise records to his name. He is the only player to eclipse the 7000-receiving yards mark in his first five seasons. The star WR also had the most 100+ yard receiving games before turning 26.

Jefferson was named the 2022 Offensive Player of the Year. The Vikings' star has been named to the First-Team All-Pro and Second-Team All-Pro two times each.

Jefferson took the NFL by storm in his rookie season, recording 1400 yards, 88 catches, and seven TDs. He outperformed himself the following season, catching 108 passes for 1,616 yards and a career high 10 TDs.

The graph continued to rise as Jefferson led the Vikings to the postseason in the 2022 NFL season, catching 128 passes for 1,809 yards and eight touchdowns. He was named the Offensive Player of the Year that season.

Despite playing only 10 games in an injury-plagued fourth season, the Viking WR charted over 1000 receiving yards. Jefferson posted another 1,500+ receiving yards season last year.

Jefferson aims to eclipse Randy Moss’ 9,316 receiving yards and Cris Carter’s 12,383 receiving yards record in the 2025 NFL season.
