Texas Tech women’s basketball announced their non-conference schedule for the 2025-2026 season on Monday. The slate features three power four opponents, all at home, and a trip to Washington State.
The Lady Raiders will tip off their season at home versus North Carolina A&T on November 3. They then welcome UTSA to town Nov 6, the Roadrunners went 17-1 last year to win the American Conference. This will always be a reunion for recent transfer pickup Sidney Love who was a catalyst to the rebuild under Karen Aston in San Antonio.
A six-game home stand to start the season is finished off with three straight games against power conference opponents as SMU (Nov 13) and Arkansas (Nov 16) come to Lubbock after Tech visited them last season and Mississippi State caps off the home stand on Nov 20.
After spending their summer in Germany the team will stay a bit closer to home for their holiday tournament this season, heading to the Hoopfest Women’s Basketball Challenge in Frisco, Texas. They will play North Texas and Old Dominion with games taking place at the Comerica Center.
The Lady Raiders and Abilene Christian will play a neutral game in Odessa on December 14, before the team comes back home for its last non-conference matchup against Jacksonville on December 17, a likely candidate for the team’s annual Education Day game.
Lady Raider Dunk Alert?!
In a bit of bonus offseason content, Texas Tech junior Jalynn Bristow has been putting in the work this offseason adding 2.5 inches to her approach vert and recently throwing it down on a 10-foot goal.
