Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings finally ended their five-game losing streak, defeating the Indiana Fever on Tuesday night by one point, 81-80.

To begin the weekend, Bueckers and the Wings looked for a second-straight victory, taking on Cameron Brink and the Los Angeles Sparks.

Going into Friday's matchup, Bueckers had averaged 5.4 assists through 26 games, bringing her rookie season total to 141. This marked the second-most by a Wings' rookie in franchise history.

With 3:37 remaining in the first quarter, Bueckers hit Myisha Hines-Allen for a driving layup, marking the former UConn guard's second assist of the night and 143rd of her career.

In doing so, Bueckers has passed Odyssey Sims (142) for the most single-season assists by a rookie in Dallas franchise history.

"Paige Bueckers officially holds our franchise's rookie season assists record ✔️," the Wings wrote on X.

Sims initially broke the Wings' rookie assist record back in 2014, when the team was called the Tulsa Shock. That year was one of Sims' best as a WNBA player, averaging 16.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists.

Sims has bounced around the league in her 12 seasons, most recently joining the Fever on a seven-day hardship contract.

The next-best playmaking season for a Wings/Shock rookie came in 2013, one year before Sims entered the WNBA, when Skylar Diggins, now with the Seattle Storm, recorded 123 assists as a rookie.
