A roundup of Southwest Florida high school sports played the week of August 18, 2025.

Estero 3, Aubrey Rogers 0: The Wildcats got a season-opening win at home, sweeping the Patriots 25-19, 25-21, 25-16. Brooke Smith led the way with 14 kills and 7 aces, while Delayna Kerry added 19 assists and 4 blocks.

St. John Neumann 3, Riverdale 1: The Celtics opened up 1-0 with a 25-23, 25-16, 23-25, 25-13 win over the visiting Raiders. In the loss for Riverdale, Olivia Znotens had 10 kills and 24 digs, while Piper Higginbotham had 34 assists, 15 digs, and 5 aces. Hayden Waln also finished with 10 kills, adding 18 digs. Sadie Gutridge led the team with 32 digs.

Marco Island 3, Donahue Catholic 0: The Rays won 25-4, 25-6, 25-11 over the Shamrocks. Medney Garraux led the attack with 24 kills, followed by Giuliana Batelli, who added 13 kills. Madison Stolinas dished out 37 assists, adding 3 kills, 7 digs, and 4 aces. Garraux and Batelli combined for 13 aces, while Rylee Howard had 9 kills and 3 aces in the middle.

Fort Myers 3, Naples 0: The Green Wave handled business in their home opener against the Golden Eagles, thanks in part to 37 assists, 7 kills, and 8 aces from Addi Sprecher. Olivia German had 17 kills and a pair of blocks, while Sophie Morris had 10 aces and 12 digs. Zoe Sandadi led the defense with 26 digs and 5 aces, while Reece Stewart posted 10 assists, 8 digs, and 7 kills.
