There are several positions at which the latest Raiders unofficial depth chart doesn't reflect reality. Let's look at the five most glaring.
Unofficial depth charts have some value. While no one should put too much stock in them, being that they're not put together by the coaching staff, they can offer some insight into where players line up and their status with the team. But this week's offering should just be disregarded.
Mainly because these unofficial depth charts don't really change much after the first one and there have been some changes.
Here's five observations that this new depth chart gets wrong.
1. Jackson Powers-Johnson has taken the starting right guard job. Alex Cappa is the second team right guard now, so there should be no controversy there.
2. In both the first two preseason games, when Ashton Jeanty left the field for the first time, it was Raheem Mostert who entered the game. He was seen as the number two back from the moment he was signed this offseason, so the uncertainty as to whether it's him or Zamir White now seems odd.
3. Thomas Booker has taken over as a starting defensive tackle for this team. Or at very least is sharing time with Jonah Laulu. Booker is certainly not at the bottom of the roster with the fourth team guys.
4. Kyu Blu Kelly has taken over as a starting cornerback, replacing Darien Porter. No way should Kelly be listed as a third stringer.
5. Terrell Edmunds saw time with the Raiders' first team defense against the 49ers. Just days after joining the team. Suggesting he could be looked at as the replacement for the injured Lonnie Johnson Jr.
