Big news after Indiana Fever game.
WNBA Team Announces Good News After Indiana Fever Game originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Indiana Fever have been playing without Caitlin Clark and have lost two straight games.
Clark has missed ample time during her second season in the WNBA due to a left quad strain and groin injuries. And the Fever received more bad news when Sydney Colson (left knee ACL) and Aari McDonald (broken bone in right foot) were lost for the rest of the season.
Their disintegrating depth was shown Friday in the Fever's 88-84 loss to the Washington Mystics.
In contrast, Washington is getting healthier. The day after the game against Indiana, the Mystics announced Shakira Austin had been removed from the injury report. That sets the stage for her to play in the team's next game against the Los Angeles Sparks.
For the @WashMystics' game on Sunday vs. Los Angeles, Jacy Sheldon (ankle) and Georgia Amoore (season-ending ACL injury) remain out. However, Shakira Austin (leg) is no longer listed, meaning she is available to play. @TheIXBasketball#WNBA

This is Austin's fourth season with the Washington Mystics. She has been a consistent contributor for the Mystics since she entered the WNBA, and Washington has missed her for the last three games as she recovered from a leg injury. This season, Austin has averaged 12.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.
While the Washington Mystics seek to build off their most recent victory over the Indiana Fever, all eyes are on Fever coach Stephanie White. Clark is averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game in limited action this season. However, White was able to keep the Fever above .500 during Clark's current absence until Colson and McDonald's injuries. Playing without three of their top four guards, the Fever have leaned on Sophie Cunningham and Aliyah Boston.
