Team Kowalik shut out Team Falby 5-0 on Tuesday. Kowalik’s team earned all the innings and win points for an additional 130 points on top of their individual efforts. Three players stole the show in Tuesday’s contest. Keilani Ricketts and Montana Fouts were stellar in the circle. Meanwhile, Kayla Kowalik was a double shy of the cycle in her three-hit day.

Kowalik helped her own team to start the game, blasting a solo home run in the first inning. Kowalik had a leadoff single in the third and Danieca Coffey drove her in on an RBI groundout.

Aliyah Binford knocked an RBI double, scoring Coffey for Team Kowalik. Sierra Romero recorded an RBI to double their lead to 4-0 after six innings. Team Kowalik didn’t stop there, though. Baylee Klingler singled in her captain in the top of the seventh after Kowalik’s triple to open the frame. Kowalik now sits atop the leaderboard after her three-hit night and scoring three times.

Ricketts tossed four scoreless innings without much trouble before giving way to Fouts in the bottom of the fifth. She was dominant in relief, tossing three scoreless frames and striking out five to end the game. Those two earned second and third-place MVP honors.

Falby earned the Defensive MVP, making one of her great plays out in center we’ve become accustomed to during her career.
