Eintracht Frankfurt have signed goalkeeper Michael Zetterer from Werder Bremen, the Bundesliga club said in a statement on Wednesday.
Frankfurt needed someone for the position after captain Kevin Trapp moved to French top flight side Paris FC the previous day.
Zetterer signed a contract until 2029 and according to media reports, his new club paid a transfer fee of €5 million ($5.82 million).
It's unclear whether he will immediately become a starter, but he could make his debut for Frankfurt in their Bundesliga opener against Bremen on Saturday.
"He showed in Bremen that he is much better than the average goalkeeper, and with his mindset and ambitions, he will be a perfect fit for us here in Frankfurt," board member for sport Markus Krösche said.
