The Senior Bowl is widely regarded as the top all-star game and the first big stage in the NFL Draft process. It should remain that way in 2026. Kentucky could have some more players making the trip to Mobile in February.
The draft showcase even released its top-300 list this week. Kentucky wide receiver Ja’Mori Maclin, offensive guard Joshua Braun, and outside linebacker Kam Olds all made an appearance.
“We decided to trim our watchlist from 850 to 300 to raise the bar and truly spotlight the top-tier talent across the country,” says Senior Bowl Executive Director Drew Fabianich. “Our staff has been working rigorously to identify the top talent in this year’s draft class and the players on this list have stood out so far, but this is just the beginning. This season is the most valuable part of our process and there is still plenty of football to be played. Our scouts will be on the road every week, tracking how these players perform and who continues to rise.”
Ja’Mori Maclin finished the 2023 season at North Texas with 57 receptions for 1,004 yards and 11 touchdowns. The highly veterean wideout didn’t do much in 2024 until the end of the season. Maclin caught a 32-yard touchdown at Tennessee, picked up 52 yards at Texas, and scored two touchdowns against Louisville. The sixth-year player has averaged over 17 yards per reception in each of the last three seasons. In his second year in the program, Maclin should have a big role in the Kentucky offense this fall.
After beginning his career at Florida, Joshua Braun became an All-SEC selection at Arkansas. The class of 2020 product will spend his final year of college football at Kentucky and will be a plug-and-play starter at left guard. The multi-time SEC transfer might be the best player on UK’s offense.
Kam Olds is a two-time MAC transfer who is at Kentucky for his final year of eligibility. Olds set career highs in snaps (474), tackles (42), tackles for loss (seven), sacks (six), and pressures (29) in 2024. The DMV native picked Kentucky over Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, and Nebraska.
Despite adding 50 new players to the roster in the offseason, Kentucky’s draft streak has a very good at shot at extending in 2026.
