Barcelona not ruling out reserve team registration for summer signing

According to reports from SPORT, the option of registering summer signing Roony Bardghji with Barça Atletic is still on the table should first-team registration not materialise in the immediate future.

The outlet assures that while the uncertainty might frustrate many players, Bardghji has not allowed it to affect his mood or commitment. 

He continues to train with a smile, putting in the hard work and staying focused on what lies ahead. 

Despite not yet playing an official game for Barcelona, the winger has already won over the fans with his lively personality and fearless approach in pre-season.

Has captured attention

Bardghji made his presence felt during Barcelona’s pre-season tour of Asia, where his sharp movement, creativity, and directness stood out. 

Even though it is clear that he will not be a starter under Hansi Flick right away, his potential was enough to excite supporters.

However, Barcelona’s financial struggles have delayed his official registration. Alongside him, Gerard Martin and Wojciech Szczesny were also unable to be registered in time for the league opener against Mallorca. 

As things stand, Bardghji will likely miss out again when Barcelona face Levante on Saturday, with doubts lingering over how quickly the situation can be resolved.

Barcelona have faith in him

What is notable is that the Barcelona hierarchy has no intention of giving Bardghji only a reserve-team role unless absolutely necessary. The plan has always been to register him directly with the first team. 

Registering him with Barça Atletic remains only a “plan B” option in case fair play requirements make it unavoidable.

Inside the dressing room, Bardghji’s attitude has been praised. Despite the uncertainty, he has not once shown frustration or negativity. 

On the contrary, he has continued to bring good energy to the squad, eager to learn from senior figures and grateful to be part of the group. Flick, too, is impressed by what Bardghji has shown so far. 

Barcelona know that once the registration hurdles are cleared, Bardghji will become an exciting option to add unpredictability and freshness to their attack.
