Super Bowl 60 odds: Can the Miami Dolphins make a championship run?

A quick look at the best and worst Super Bowl odds ahead of the 2025 season, along with where the Miami Dolphins sit.

The 2025 NFL season is getting closer. The Miami Dolphins have just Saturday night’s preseason finale against the Jacksonville Jaguars before they make their final roster cuts and get ready for games that actually count. How will this year play out? Everyone is starting to make their predictions.

Our friends over at FanDuel Sportsbook are conducting FanDuel Futures Day on Tuesday, August 26 where you can get profit boost tokens around various futures markets throughout the day. The markets will be split up throughout the day, but they will include odds to win the Super Bowl and hypothetical Super Bowl matchups, odds to make or miss the playoffs, win totals, division winners, and player milestones. As we get ready for both the season and for FanDuel Futures Day, it is time to take a look at the best, the worst, and the Dolphins’ odds for coming away with a ring and the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the year.

The favorites:

Buffalo Bills +700
Baltimore Ravens +700
Philadelphia Eagles +700
Kansas City Chiefs +800
Detroit Lions +1100

There really does not seem to be a lot of surprises among the top five Super Bowl favorites. The Bills, Ravens, and Eagles are the darlings of the league among the preseason media hype, the Chiefs will be in the group as long as they have quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and the Lions are the hard-nosed, gritty team that everyone seems to believe could knock the Eagles off the NFC perch.

The odds are predicting pretty much the same top teams from last year. The oddsmakers have 2024’s top three seeds from the AFC (Chiefs, Bills, Ravens), and the top two seeds from the NFC (Lions, Eagles) as the top five teams this year. The Chiefs and Eagles met in Super Bowl 59, with Philadelphia winning. The Bills were in the AFC Championship against the Chiefs after beating the Ravens in the AFC Divisional Round of the playoffs, and the Lions were the top seed in the NFC before losing to the Washington Commanders in the NFC Divisional Round.

The long shots:

New Orleans Saints +40000
Cleveland Browns +40000
New York Giants +22500
New York Jets +20000
Tennessee Titans +17500

Keeping up with the trend of last year’s standings matching this year’s odds, the Titans, Browns, and Giants were all tied for the worst record in the league at 3-14. The Saints and Jets were not far away, both finishing 5-12. While the odds makers see some teams like the Las Vegas Raiders, New England Patriots, and Chicago Bears improving from last year, they do not see a rapid improvement for New Orleans, Cleveland, New York Giants and Jets, or Tennessee.

Miami Dolphins odds:

Miami Dolphins +8000

The Dolphins come in with the eighth-longest odds in the league. The oddsmakers do not see them putting together a championship run this year. The actually have them behind both the Bills (+700) and the Patriots (+7500) among the AFC East teams’ Super Bowl chances. Miami is facing a steep uphill battle this season, at least according to the oddsmakers.

Will the Dolphins be able to put it together and make that run? They have one game left to tune up for the regular season.
