Lamar Jackson not practicing Thursday after leaving Wednesday’s session early

Lamar Jackson is sitting out Thursday’s practice after leaving early on Wednesday.

Per Jeff Zrbiec of The Athletic, quarterback Lamar Jackson is not participating in practice on Thursday just a day after leaving Wednesday’s session early. A spokesperson of the Ravens noted on Wednesday that Jackson left after having his foot stepped on, but was otherwise “fine.”

Others who were in attendance on Wednesday noted that Jackson was seen leaving the field while “flexing his wrist” which also sparked murmurs regarding a different injury that forced him to the locker room roughly 40 minutes before the end of practice.

The Ravens will conclude their 2025 preseason schedule on Saturday morning against the Washington Commanders. Kickoff is scheduled for noon ET.

Of course there was likely no chance of Jackson playing in the preseason finale, but the murkiness of this situation is still notable until it gets further cleared up by head coach John Harbaugh, likely following Thursday’s practice.
