Perhaps the biggest position question facing Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz and company this offseason was who is going to replace Brady Cook at quarterback?

As fall camp concluded on Tuesday, Drinkwitz is still undecided between Penn State transfer Beau Pribula and Sam Horn, the only returning quarterback from last year's squad.

"It's been something that's kept me up every night and wake me up in the morning," Drinkwitz told media members Tuesday. "What that means moving forward, I don't know yet."

Horn, who doubles as a pitcher for Mizzou's baseball team, is entering his fifth season in Columbia. He sat out last season after undergoing Tommy John Surgery. Despite being drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers last month, Horn is returning to the gridiron. He's seen action in four games during his career.

Penn State Nittany Lions quarterback Beau Pribula (9) rushes the ball As fall camp concluded on Tuesday, Missouri's starting QB competition between Beau Pribula and Sam Horn remains undecided.

Pribula, however, brings more experience to the table. In 24 career games at Penn State, he's completed 37-of-56 passes for 424 yards and nine touchdowns. He's also proved to be a mobile threat, rushing for 571 yards and 10 touchdowns.

With the competition between Pribula and Horn coming down to the wire, Drinkwitz will reveal his plan for Central Arkansas within the next 24 hours.

"We'll start UCA [University of Central Arkansas] prep tomorrow, and we'll have a decision and talk to both those guys here in the next 24 hours about what we're going to do," Drinkwitz said. "and make sure the team is comfortable with the plan moving forward."

Missouri opens their 2025 campaign against Central Arkansas on Thursday, August 28. Game time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT and can be seen on SEC Network.
