Which is enough to deduce that the club's chief was very much enamoured by the Brazilian. Firmino was a data signing after all and someone Edwards pushed Liverpool to sign.
The data and his analysis of the player showed that Firmino had all the skill-set in the world to become world-class and that is exactly what he became in the end.

In their attempts to do so, Edwards may have unearthed the next Roberto Firmino in Brazil. According to GE Globo, Liverpool have enquired about Fluminense attacking midfielder, Isaque.
The report claims Liverpool are strongly monitoring his situation. Although Shakhtar Donetsk have already made a bid for him so they do have competition for the Brazilian.
Isaque is a very interesting profile for Liverpool. He's made 19 goal contributions in 29 matches for Fluminense's U17 and U20 team. He's a very good technical player with shades of Firmino about him as well, in the way he loves to take up those pockets of space between the opposition's midfield and attack.
But also his first touch and ability on the ball oozes of class and quality, just like Firmino's.
He's averaged over 7 dribbles while playing at U17 and U20 level for Fluminense and succeeded in just under 60% of this attempts.
Considering he plays in the same position Firmino did before his arrival at Liverpool and the fact that he also resembles him a little bit in his appearance, it's easy to draw comparisons.
