The 2025-26 college football season kicks off Saturday. The Ole Miss Rebels open against Georgia State in a week.
The 2025-26 college football season kicks off Saturday with a Week 0 slate featuring five games, including a ranked matchup between No. 22 Iowa State and No. 17 Kansas State.
Ole Miss opens against Georgia State in a week. ESPN has the Rebels favored in 11 of their 12 games, according to its matchup predictor percentages. A closed scrimmage on Saturday closes out the final week of fall camp.
“Obviously we’re going to be a contender,” Rebel safety and LSU transfer Sage Ryan said. “The coaches are confident in us and we’re confident in us as well. We’re confident in the coaches. I feel like we’re all as one. We’re all one piece and leaning on each other to do everything right and win a lot of games while doing that.”
Ole Miss long ago sold out season tickets for the second consecutive season.
“We want to win,” Rebel tight end Dae’Quan Wright said. “We’re going to keep the winning tradition going, and we’re going to have fun with it.”
Some key changes are coming to the Grove and Vaught-Hemingway Stadium this season.

Tap-and-Go Ticketing
All mobile tickets will use NFC-enabled technology starting this season.
NFC tickets use ‘Tap and Go’ for entry into athletic venues. Fans can simply add their ticket to their wallet to use on game day and are strongly encouraged to add them in advance of arriving on campus.
Screenshots and ticket forwards will no longer be valid for game day. Fans must use the ticket transfer feature to share tickets.
New Grove Setup Schedule
There are no changes to the traditional game day experience in the Grove nor the choices for setting up. Fans can choose to put up their own tent or purchase a setup for their preferred vendor. In order to make both options more advantageous, timelines have been adjusted to allow for earlier, safer and more organized planning for all parties. See below for an updated timeline.
Key Friday Grove Times
2-3 p.m. – Registered student organizations and university departments set up
3-4:30 p.m. – Vendors set up their customers’ tents
5:30 p.m. – Grove closes
6 p.m. – Grove opens for general public
No Field Rushes
Stronger measures are being put in place to ensure field rushes no longer occur at VHS in order to further avoid safety issues and increased SEC fines.
Entering the playing field is strictly prohibited, and those found to be violators are subject to arrest. Violators could also be denied ticket privileges for the current and next season, including but not limited to student, season and single-game tickets. All available stadium cameras will be used to assist in identifying violators.
Limited Single-Game Tickets Available
Limited quantities of single-game tickets for matchups against Georgia State, Arkansas, Tulane, Washington State, South Carolina and The Citadel still remain. Head to OleMissTix.com today to lock in your seats for one of the best shows in college football.
Upgraded Wi-Fi
Ole Miss upgraded the stadium Wi-Fi, making it free for all fans. Users must authenticate when prompted in order to use the Wi-Fi on their devices.
Concession Enhancements
For fan convenience, Ole Miss converted three concession stands into full Grab & Go locations. These Rebel To Go stands, located on the east and west sides of the stadium, give a modern look and will decrease wait times and time away from the action.
Ole Miss added larger beverage options throughout the stadium to help fans stay in the stands watching the game. Ole Miss added a non-alcoholic beer from Athletic Brewing Company to select stadium locations to provide another option for fans.
Coca-Cola FanFest Events
Numerous special events and national tours will stop at the Coca-Cola FanFest outside of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, including Coca-Cola, Gin & Juice, Kingsford, Turtlebox, Surfside, Barebells and many more. Check back at OleMissSports.com to our weekly game previews to see what’s new at FanFest each week.
