Key Barcelona star singled out for heavy criticism during Levante clash

A leading member of the defensive ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona has on Saturday evening been singled out for heavy criticism online.

The player in question? Pau Cubarsí.

Barcelona are of course currently locked in action in Spain’s top-flight.

In the 2nd outing of the defence of their La Liga title, the Blaugrana have made the trip to Valencia, for a meeting with newly-promoted Levante.

Thus far at the Estadi Ciutat de València, however, things have not exactly gone according to plan for Hansi Flick’s troops.

Heading in at the interval, Barca found themselves training by two goals to nil.

This came owing first to a moment of excellence on the part of Levante frontman Iván Romero, followed by a José Luis Morales spot-kick.

And in the midst of as much, those of a Blaugrana persuasion were quick to make their frustrations known with one player in particular.

After he was left for dead en route to Levante opening the scoring, Pau Cubarsí has since been singled out for heavy and altogether widespread criticism.
