Seattle Seahawks players Jake Bobo and Tyler Hall both suffered injuries on a scary collision on a punt return during Saturday’s preseason finale against the Green Bay Packers. Hall was helped to the sideline with an apparent leg injury and Bobo walked straight back toward the locker room for further evaluation.
Bobo went to signal for a fair catch as Hall was blocked into him. The two players stayed on the ground for some time as the NFL Network broadcast went to commercial, but both got back up were able to head off the field largely under their own power.
Hall was dealing with an apparent leg injury and had help getting off the field. Bobo, meanwhile, walked under his own power right to the locker room.
Jake Bobo is preparing for his third season with the Seahawks after emerging as a contributor on special teams, though he started three games at wide receiver last year. He has 303 career receiving yards and three touchdowns after Seattle signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2023.
Tyler Hall, meanwhile, has bounced around the league since the Falcons signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He was with the Seahawks’ practice squad last year and is looking to make a case for the NFL roster this season.
Seattle struggled mightily in the first half of Saturday’s preseason finale, trailing Green Bay 20-0 at the break. The plan is for rookie quarterback Jalen Milroe to play the entire game, and he had an up-and-down go through two quarters. He completed 7-of-12 passes for 65 yards before halftime while taking two carries for three rushing yards.
Seattle selected Milroe in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft, and he appeared in both previous preseason contests so far, completing 9-of-15 passes for 107 yards while adding 56 rushing yards on the gorund. He’s expected to be the QB3 for the Seahawks this year, but Mike Macdonald said Milroe is expected to play all of Saturday’s final preseason game.
“I think it’s just a great opportunity for him to get great experience,” Macdonald said. “All rookies they need reps. They need experience and Jalen was right there. I know he’s really excited for the opportunity and he’s going to do a great job. So go out and operate the offense and go play ball the way you know how.”
