Perhaps all Jack Grealish needed was a bit more freedom to do what he does best.
The Englishman was instrumental in Everton's first goal on Sunday, showing a glimmer of the kind of player we know he can be despite struggling last season.
Grealish picked up the ball along the left wing (as he's done much of the game) and fizzed a quality cross into Iliman Ndiaye for the first goal ever at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Fair to say Jack Grealish is seeing plenty of the ball on his first Everton start.

In the first 15 minutes at Hill Dickinson Stadium against Brighton, 66.7% of Everton's attacking touches have been down the left side of the pitch.#EVEBHApic.twitter.com/mU3cecbibO
That's his first assist of the season now, after only two games. Comparatively, he only registered one for Manchester City all of last season in the Premier League.
Since the start of the 2023/24 season, Jack Grealish has more Premier League assists at the Hill Dickinson stadium (1) than he does at the Etihad (0). 🙃 pic.twitter.com/HjHcbZsQM5
