The 22nd Misfits Boxing show features Darren Till vs Luke Rockhold on DAZN PPV during a very quiet week of pro boxing
Saturday, August 30th
DAZN, 6:00 am ET, Dream Boxing. The “Battle of Bangkok,” from Bangkok, Thailand. DAZN says the main event is Kittipong Jian Hao Ho vs Harpreet Singh, but that’s not currently on the BoxRec listing or the most recent posters from Dream. What Dream does promise you is a fireworks show between 48 year old Alessio Bisutti and 41 year old John Napari, with the Universal Boxing Organization heavyweight title on the line. Also, Elmo Traya vs Apinun Khongsong, the latter of whom you may remember as a one-round ritual sacrifice to the last great months of Josh Taylor’s championship reign.
DAZN PPV, 1:00 pm ET, MFxDAZN: X Series 22. They’re calling this one “Ring of Thrones,” and all the promo material uses the Game of Thrones font where the O’s all look like harps. They’re charging $49.99 for this one, and best of luck to them with that, I suppose. Main event is Darren Till vs Luke Rockhold (excuse me… RØckhØld, per the poster). Also, Salt Papi, who was fun and charming, as far as these things go, for about three months, two and a half years ago. Again… It’s FIFTY DOLLARS if you want to watch. Do you really love Salt Papi that much? According to the Google Search AI summary tool that’s rapidly strangling online journalism to death, you could get “approximately 300 to 400 pounds of rock salt,” or “between 100 and 150 pounds of basic food-grade salt” for fifty bucks!
Millions.Co, 5:30 pm ET, Pulse Boxing. From Toledo, Ohio. $14.99 gets you Albert Bell vs Keith Hunter, plus 15 other four to eight round fights of undercard action. Dante Benjamin, previously seen on ProBox and OTX, keeps busy against an 11-19-3 opponent. Also, the pro debut of Ricky Blue Stanley, erroneously listed on BoxRec as “Rickeyblue Stanley.” I like the incorrect name more, but you be you, Ricky Blue.
