There are some important takeaways from Monday’s Cowboys practice.
The Dallas Cowboys were back in action on Monday and all systems are a go towards next week’s season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles. It is worth noting that matters for them will get complicated soon enough as roster cut down day is Tuesday. By 4pm ET the team has to be down to their “final” 53 players, a group that will see some work in the immediate days that follow.
Given the number of questions and potential designations the Cowboys are going to apply to various players, the way they looked on Monday was of a high level of interest. Here are the important takeaways from reported action.
First of all, both Trevon Diggs and Tyler Guyton got work in.
While we are documenting who was and wasn’t doing things, it should be stated for the record that Micah Parsons was not at the portion of practice available to media.
Back to players who were present and accounted for though, Jaydon Blue was among them which was a great sign to see after his low ankle sprain that came during last week’s preseason finale.
Also, Brevyn Spann-Ford was back.
Getting back to the topic of potential roster decisions, it should be said that there were a handful of players who were present at practice who were not actively participating.
As you were.
