On Monday, the expected news that Oregon State wide receiver Darrius Clemons‘ 2025 season had come to an end before it had a chance to truly get started, became official.
On Instagram, Clemons announced that he had suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in fall camp and has undergone surgery to repair the injury. Clemons will be out for the entirety of the 2025 season and will potentially put the start of the 2026 season in question for the Portland native as well.
The former Westview High School standout was expected to be a big part of the Beavers’ 2025 passing attack and a potential top target for quarterback Maalik Murphy. Last season, Clemons recorded 25 receptions for 292 yards and two touchdowns. It was the best season of his career, after recording just four receptions for 40 yards over the 2022 and 2023 seasons with the Michigan Wolverines.
