IMG Academy continues to lure top talent to Bradenton, Fla. Ascenders hoops will have a blue-chip name to know joining their roster for the 2025-26 season.

Four-star small forward Aziz Olajuwon, the son of NBA legend Hakeem Olajuwon, is transferring from Clements (Texas) to IMG for his senior season, he told League Ready’s Sam Kayser on Monday evening.

Playing for Clements last season, Olajuwon averaged over 20 points and 10 rebounds per game. Despite the last name, Aziz’s game isn’t what comes to mind when you think of his father. The 6-foot-6, 195-pounder has a smooth stroke and was named one of the top shooters in the 2026 class by Rivals’ Jamie Shaw earlier this month.

Olajuwon is the No. 68 overall prospect and No. 21 small forward in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He now checks in as the No. 9 prospect in Florida.
