New Mexico is poking the bear ahead of its Week 1 showdown against No. 14 Michigan. On Tuesday, the Lobos’ official X account posted a depth chart that included fake lineups, littered with famous movie roles of actors Tom Hanks, Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Cruise.
New Mexico’s post was in response to Michigan not revealing its depth chart ahead of the showdown. The Lobos’ fake depth chart included iconic characters such as Forrest Gump, Jerry McGuire and Jack Dawson.
Most programs release their depth charts each week ahead of games, but Michigan stopped following this practice after Jim Harbaugh‘s second year at the helm of the program. Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore carried over this practice into his tenure.
