Bayern Munich traveling to SV Wehen Wiesbaden on game day

No reason to panic…

Unlike most other game days, Bayern Munich is traveling to Frankfurt today to face SV Wehen Wiesbaden in the DFB-Pokal per Bild (via @iMiaSanMia):

Unlike normally where they travel to away games one day before the match, the team will travel to Frankfurt this afternoon in two private jets and then take the bus to the team hotel where they’ll spend a few hours, before departing for the Brita Arena in Wiesbaden.

Is this cause for concern? Probably not, but back in 2021, the Bavarians travelled to Holstein Kiel on the day of the match and — that time — it did not work out so well.

Bayern Munich is traveling to…“somewhere near Frankfurt” per head coach Vincent Kompany to take on SV Wehen Wiesbaden in the DFB-Pokal.

The Bavarians are riding high after taking down RB Leipzig 6-0 in the Bundesliga and will face the current 6th place team in 3. Liga. SV Wehen Wiesbaden is 1-1-1, featured a couple of ex-Bayern Munich academy products, and is not exactly a push over.

Let’s dive into it! This is what we have on tap for this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Preview Show:
