The 2025 season is here. After reaching the college football playoff semifinal the past two seasons, the Texas Longhorns are hoping to take a step forward and win a national title. They'll have to navigate another tricky SEC schedule.
The top of the SEC should be similar in 2025 as it was to 2024. Texas, Georgia and Alabama should be near the top. The next tier should have some change over. Tennessee should regress some this season, while Oklahoma should be better thanks to new QB John Mateer.
Vanderbilt and Ole Miss won't surprise anyone this season, but Florida could. The Gators should be much better if DJ Lagway can stay healthy. South Carolina could join the elite at the top of the conference this season. So could Missouri. But LSU could struggle against expectations.
Will the Aggies be better? Will the Hogs be better? We're about to get answers to all of these questions.

Commentary: Texas has two of the toughest road games in the nation. It is difficult to just assume Texas will win both games. Georgia seems to have Texas' number.
