Just one week before the Miami Dolphins open their 2025 season on the road against the Indianapolis Colts, their running back room has taken a sudden hit.
Dolphins second-year running back Jaylen Wright had a “small procedure” done that isn’t season-ending but will take some time to recover from, Miami head coach Mike McDaniel revealed on Thursday. In response, the organization has signed veteran running backs Jeff Wilson and JaMychal Hasty.
Wright rushed for 19 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries in two of Miami’s three preseason games. As a rookie last season, the former Volunteer rushed for 249 yards on 68 attempts.
