Red-hot middleweight contender, Reinier de Ridder, is 4-0 under the UFC banner with three finishes and recently defeated former 185-pound champion, Robert Whittaker, at UFC Abu Dhabi.

Meh.

Sportsbooks opened “The Dutch Knight” (21-2) as the +210 underdog for his UFC Vancouver main event against Anthony Hernandez, which takes place on Sat., Oct. 18, 2025 inside Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

“Fluffy” (15-2, 1 NC) stands as the -250 betting favorite, according to BetOnline.ag.

Hernandez, ranked two spot below De Ridder at No. 6, is the winner of eight straight with six finishes, including his fourth-round tap over Roman Dolidze at UFC Vegas 109. Whoever wins at UFC Vancouver is likely to score the next middleweight title shot.

Maybe.

“I think he’s big and he’s dangerous.” Hernandez told MMA Junkie. “That’s about it. The rest of the homework my coaches will have for me. I’ll watch it with them when the time comes, but I don’t know, man, it’s just another fight the way I see it. There’s levels to this s—t and I think I’m on that level. So eventually, when the fight comes, I’ll be ready for it. But it’s one fight at a time for me. Next in line is De Ridder, so it’s to strategize against him and just keep climbing the rankings.”
