In the afternoon, Torino, as reported, had made significant progress to sign Anass Salah-Eddine, the Dutch left-back born in 2002 owned by Roma.
The Turin side had even reached an agreement with the Giallorossi to finalise the deal by this evening.
At the same time, however, PSV made their move, with their starter in that position sidelined for a few weeks, stepping in to beat the competition just as Torino seemed to be on the right track.

PSV look to close for Roma’s Salah-Eddine
Anass Salah-Eddine himself has opened the door to a move to PSV, even though he knows for the Dutch club it would be more of a short-term fix for their emergency.
Now, an agreement with Serie A side Roma must be found.
Torino, meanwhile, did not take it well, having already received the player’s initial availability and believing they were just hours away from completing the deal.
