Former Atlantic wide receiver Teddy Hoffmann has splash debut in NC State opener

Teddy Hoffmann wasted no time at all in turning heads at NC State.

It did not take long for NC State fans to see what Teddy Hoffmann brings to the Wolfpack offense.

The freshman receiver, a product of Atlantic High School, caught five passes for 93 yards in the first half to help NC State to a 24-17 win in the season opener.

His receptions and yargade paced the team in the first half, with all four catches coming in the first quarter.

Spcial media was quick to react, and a number of fans responded to Hoffmann's impressive 27-yard catch from quarterback CJ Bailey.

Hoffmann, who was originally committed to Florida Atlantic, had a prolific career at Atlantic High, tallying 1,179 yards and 23 touchdowns on 69 catches in his senior year.

He was joined by former Atlantic teammate Deandre Desinor in his journey to NC State, with the duo set to bring a new generation of successful football to the gridiron.

Hoffmann is off to a flying start to his college career.
