The structuring of Micah Parsons' mega contract with the Green Bay Packers will mean his salary cap number stays below $10 million in 2025 and under $30 million during each of the first three seasons of the deal.
Overall, the five-year deal between Parsons and the Packers is worth a little over $210 million.
His cap number for 2025: $9,970,000. Incredibly, Parsons will take up roughly three percent of the team's total cap in 2025.
Over the Cap has expanded contract details for Parsons and the Packers. Among the highlights are a $44 million signing bonus, which is prorated across five years of the deal, and over $70 million in option bonuses. Parsons has base salaries under $4 million during each of his first three seasons in Green Bay but then has over $83 million in base salaries combined in 2028 and 2029, when his cap number explodes. At no point between 2025 and 2027 will Parsons take up more than nine percent of the expected salary cap.
