The Wildcats open their 2025 season today
It’s finally here!
The Kentucky Wildcats open their 2025 season at Kroger Field today against the Toledo Rockets.
After coming off a tough 4-8 season last year, the Wildcats revamped the roster headed into the 2025 season. They’ll open the season today against a Toledo team that finished 8-5 last year, capping off the season with a victory over Pittsburgh in the GameAbove Sports Bowl.
This year, the Rockets enter as the favorite to win the MAC. Toledo isn’t a team that will be intimidated going on the road to take on an SEC opponent, either. The Rockets went to Starkville last year and dominated Mississippi State in Week 3, winning 41-17.
Today’s game represents an opportunity for the Wildcats to build some momentum to get the season started and see the many new faces on the roster take their first snaps as Wildcats.
Stay tuned here at A Sea of Blue throughout the day as we bring you coverage from today’s season opener.
