QT Marshall won their Deathe Before Dishonor bout, but the Emmy-winner made his commitment to pro wrestling clear.
Paul Walter Hauser lost to QT Marshall in the Fight Without Honor, but the actor earned respect as a professional wrestler.
The storyline coming in to ROH Death Before Dishonor (Aug. 29, 2025) was QT not treating Hauser seriously inside the ring. He didn’t think the actor had what it takes to be in the wrestling business. In addition to personal animosity, Hauser set out to prove that he paid his dues and can handle himself in a match.
Hauser actually out-wrestled QT early in the match for a body slam, an atomic drop, and a side Russian leg sweep, then he got a little wild for a cannonball off the apron. QT turned the match ugly by catapulting Hauser into a ladder to cause bleeding.
QT brought out a crate of barbed wire weapons and grated the objects against Hauser’s face. Hauser showed toughness to rally for a fireman’s carry. That’s when Aaron Solo ran in with a kendo stick to wail away on Hauser. Who would save Hauser from this unfair interference? Send Hook. The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil made a surprise appearance to suplex Solo through a table. Hook locked in Redrum to drag Solo to the back.
Action intensified with table spots and chair spots. Hauser got creative for a short piledriver sitting down on a chair. He also walloped QT in the head with the Golden Globe award. Hauser took his lumps as well. He was victim to a strong powerbomb onto tacks. Hauser had the wind knocked out of him, and QT bought some time by setting up the finish.
QT insulted the crowd on the mic, then Hauser delivered a low blow. PWH went for a tornado DDT, but QT pulled the trigger on a groin punch to halt that maneuver. QT dealt the final blow for a super Diamond Cutter through a table with shards of broken glass atop. That’s how QT won the match.
Afterward, the villain showed integrity to offer respect to Hauser for his toughness. That was QT’s way of accepting Hauser as a professional wrestler.
ROH posted the full match on YouTube. The action was a pretty entertaining affair as a celebrity attraction. It’s clear that Hauser takes the sport seriously. The pace slowed down after the powerbomb, and QT demonstrated his veteran experience to lead Hauser to the finish.
