Michigan football is just hours away from kicking off its 2025 season. The Wolverines will host the New Mexico Lobos at The Big House; kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., and the game will air live on NBC with Noah Eagle, Todd Blackledge and Kathryn Tappen on the call.

Sherrone Moore’s Wolverines begin the season ranked in the top 15 for the fourth consecutive season. Of course, in 2025, Michigan will look to replicate the 2022 and 2023 seasons as opposed to last year’s disappointment.

New Mexico won’t pose much of a threat to Michigan, but Saturday night’s season opener will be a good barometer for Michigan fans as expectations for the season undoubtedly shift based on what occurs Saturday night.

Michigan will be without a couple key players in the home opener, though. In accordance with the Big Ten’s requirements, U-M released its weekly availability report two hours before the contest. Included on the report were a few big names for the Wolverines.
