UFC veterans Darren Till, Luke Rockhold clash in main event
This is the Misfits Boxing 22 live blog for Darren Till vs. Luke Rockhold, the main event bridgerweight championship bout Saturday at the AO Arena in Manchester, England.
A former UFC welterweight title challenger, Till left the UFC and MMA in 2022 to pursue other ventures in boxing. And while it took him awhile to get going, thus far it’s been a good move, with Till winning two bouts this year already under the Misfits banner. Now, “The Gorilla” looks claim the Misfits bridgerweight belt and settle a long-standing beef with Rockhold.
The former UFC middleweight champion, Rockhold has had a tough run in combat sports since losing his title in 2016. Since then, Rockhold ended his UFC career on a three-fight losing streak before leaving the promotion in 2022. Following that, Rockhold had a brief foray into bare-knuckle, losing to Mike Perry at BKFC 41, and now he makes his professional boxing debut against Till.
