Micah Parsons reached out to a young fan who was crying after learning the Dallas Cowboys traded him to the Green Bay Packers. A woman named Lesley went to TikTok to post a video of her son crying after telling him that Parsons was no longer a member of the Cowobys. She then shared another video of Parsons FaceTiming her son to console him.

“I saw that video. I’m sorry,” Micah Parsons said to the young fan. “In life, things happen that you can’t control, but you just got to keep going. I know you’re a big fan, so I’m going to hook you up with a new No. 1 jersey.”

Parsons then told the young fan that even though he supports the Cowboys, he hopes that the fan will continue to support him for the rest of his career. The four-time Pro Bowler then told him to get good grades in school, or he’ll take the jersey back.”

Micha Parsons didn’t think he ‘would be traded’

The boy wasn’t the only Cowboys fan crying when the team traded Parsons to the Packers. Although it was talked about before the deal was made, the fact that the Cowboys made the move after what Parsons has done for the team in his last four seasons is still shocking.

“I didn’t think I would be traded,” Parsons said during his introductory press conference in Green Bay on Friday, per NFL.com. “But that’s the harsh reality.”

Parsons was traded to the Packers on Thursday in exchange for a 2026 first-round pick, a 2027 first-round pick and three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark. The Packers then signed Parsons to a four-year, $188 million contract, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

“I’m not even going to lie, there is a lot of expectations, and I’d be a fool to not think that there isn’t expectations or there isn’t pressure in the position that I’m stepping into,” Parsons stated. “But then again, that’s a blessing in itself, that means that they believe in me that much.”
