Searching for their first win of the season, Fiorentina host Como at the Stadio Artemio Franchi today in Matchday 4 of the Serie A.
After being held to draws by Cagliari and Torino, Fiorentina went down against Scudetto holders Napoli in their previous outing. Stefano Pioli’s side could not sustain the early pressure from the Neapolitans as they conceded a penalty within six minutes of the game and it was later converted by Kevin De Bruyne. Rasmus Hojlund and Sam Beukema slotted the next two goals while Luca Ranieri netted one late but it was not enough to mastermind a comeback. Pioli will have Albert Gudmundsson back on the team sheet from injury. Moise Kean resumed training after a fever scare and he will be determined to find the net in this match after failing to do so in the past three league games.
Meanwhile, Como enter this match on the back of a 1-1 draw with Genoa. Nico Paz opened the scoring under 13 minutes of the contest but a Jacobo Ramon red card in the 88th-minute handicapped them as Caleb Ekuban equalised in added time. Ramon’s suspension is set to make away for summer signing Diego Carlos to start. Paz will continue his place in the starting line-up and either of Alvaro Morata or Tasos Douvikas will partner with him.
Here are the predicted line-ups for the match:
Fiorentina (3-5-2): De Gea; Comuzzo, Pongracic, Ranieri; Dodo, Fagioli, Mandragora, Sohm, Gosens; Piccoli, Kean.
Como (4-2-3-1): Butez; Vojvoda, Carlos, Kempf, Valle; Perrone, Da Cunha; Kuhn, Paz, Rodriguez; Morata
