We break down the fantasy football outlook of TreyVeon Henderson ahead of Week 3
The New England Patriots got into the win column in a crazy game against the Dolphins where the team scored 33 points. Unfortunately, their rookie running back only touched the ball five times, finishing with forty total yards. The ability is there, but the team ended up giving both Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson a bump in work.
Below, we’ll go over TreyVeon Henderson’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 3.
Fantasy Football analysis: Patriots, RB, TreyVeon Henderson
There is no doubt Henderson can be a difference maker on offense if given the opportunity, but Mike Vrabel and Josh McDaniels aren’t ready to do that quite yet. Could that happen in Week 3 against the Steelers? Yes, yes it could, but now that he’s in a three-headed backfield and isn’t the lead back, it’s tough to predict.
The Steelers defense has been awful through two games against two teams that aren’t supposed to be all that great offensively. We’ll see if they can get back up to their normal level of play in this game, but it would be a big leap. If Henderson were getting more work, I’d be more than happy to start Henderson this week, but just five touches last week in a game he could have had much more is concerning.
Start or sit in Week 3 PPR leagues?
Sit. If I’m going to start Henderson it must be in a PPR league, but I’m sitting him until he shows he can win more touches.
Start or sit in Week 3 standard leagues?
Sit.
