Despite losing several key players in the summer, Iraola has masterminded a brilliant start to the season. 

A late loss in a thriller at Anfield has been followed by three wins, and his side will go second with a win here. 

Eddie Howe has not beaten Bournemouth in the six league games he has faced them in, with their most recent clash seeing a 4-1 win for Andoni Iraola's Cherries. 

He's won in the EFL Cup against his old side, but could today be the day he ends his league hoodoo?

The last time Sunderland and Villa met in a league game it was 2018 and the division was the Championship. 

The Black Cats suffered a second consecutive relegation that season while Villa failed to earn promotion back to the top flight. 

Both clubs have come a long way since.

Eddie Howe and Newcastle will be looking to bounce back from their midweek loss to Barcelona as they take on his former side Bournemouth.
