Eagles head of security "Big Dom" DiSandro hit with massive fine by NFL originally appeared on The Sporting News
The Philadelphia Eagles are gearing up to take on the 2-0 Los Angeles Rams in a battle of NFC powers looking to remain undefeated. And while the game will rightfully be the focus of Sunday, it's actions from August that have landed Eagles' head of security Big Dom DiSandro a hefty fine.
"According to league source eagles head of security/coach Dom DiSandro was fined [$75,000] this past week for texting from the bench area during the Jets preseason game," Derrick Gunn reports. "The team filed an appeal but it was denied."
Big Dom isn't the only Eagles personnel/player fined this weekend. Saquon Barkley was hit with a hefty fine of his own.
"The NFL fined Eagles RB Saquon Barkley $46,371 for unnecessary roughness/use of the helmet on this play last week," Tom Pelissero reports. "No flag was thrown."
The Eagles and Rams are clashing in a rematch of the divisional round this past season where the Eagles defeated Los Angeles.
