Dalton Risner injury: Bengals offensive lineman hurt vs Vikings in NFL Game 3

The Bengals announced that Dalton Risner was questionable to return with a calf injury.

Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman Dalton Risner suffered a right calf injury during the third quarter of the team's NFL Week 3 game against the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The Bengals announced that Risner is questionable to return.

Risner told reporters he could've done a better job protecting starting quarterback Joe Burrow on the play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in which Burrow suffered a turf-toe injury.

"It's my job to protect him, and I wasn't at my best on that play," Risner told reporters Sept. 15. "Part of it I take fault on. Of course I know I didn't actually injure the guy. But my job is to protect him, and I don't think I did a good enough job on that play to keep him safe and healthy."

Risner started the season on the Bengals' depth chart as Lucas Patrick's backup at right guard.
