Santos's viewed as the direct replacement for Lucas Ribeiro Costa who forced controversial exit from Sundowns before signing with Spanish club Cultural Leonesa.
Ribeiro was Masandawana’s top scorer last season with 16 league goal & the PSL Player of the Season award.
European pedigree
A product of FC Porto's academy, Santos's represented Portugal from U16 to U21 level and was part of the squads that won the UEFA U17 (2016) & U19 (2018) European Championships.
He featured 90 time for Guimaraes scoring 8 goal & delivering 16 assist since joining from MLS side Charlotte in 2023.
Nuno Santos departed Portugal for South Africa and was recently spotted at the airport on his way to Mamelodi Sundowns FC.
