SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Week four of the high school football season has concluded, and this week’s winner had himself a game, also helping his team with their historical victory from Friday night.
Lake View entered week four 3-0, eyeing something they haven’t done since 1983: a 4-0 start to kick off their season. Enter Izaiah Rios. The Lake View running back found himself as the focal point of the offense, tallying 270 yards on the ground with four touchdowns. Rios also had a crucial 95-yard touchdown run in the 4th quarter to take the lead at one point.
Lake View would win 50-49 in this massive game, improving to 4-0 for the first time in 42 years.
Rios was named this week’s player of the week, rightfully so. And will look to capitalize on this performance next week.
