Travis Kelce is back on the NFL field and throwing tantrums galore, which is starting to worry his friends who fear he’s starting to buckle from the spiraling career pressure as well as his high-profile romance with Taylor Swift.

“He’s juggling so much with his podcast, brands, endorsements and acting aspirations, and now football season is in full gear,” an insider tells Star. “Things have gone up a level in terms of scrutiny as he plans out the rest of his life with Taylor, and the fear is he’s going to buckle under the pressure. He loves to lead by example, but there’s more of an edge to him now.”

The insider adds that before the Super Bowl champ, 35, can even get off the field, “he’s getting bombarded by media” and “people trying to nose in on his relationship with Taylor.” Plus, he has the added pressure of “pressing emails and business queries.”

“Most of the football players just go home with their WAGs or celebrate after a game,” the insider says. “No wonder Travis is lashing out at his teammates. It’s all too much.”

The Kansas City Chiefs had a dismal start to the 2025 NFL season and lost their first two games. To make matters worse, Kelce was fined over $14,000 in their September 14 game against the Philadelphia Eagles for unsportsmanlike conduct after making “obscene gestures.” The tight end was also seen getting frustrated with his teammates during the same game and cameras caught him taking his helmet off and slamming it to the ground while he shouted, “I’m sick of this s**t!”

The Chiefs took home their first win of the season on Sunday, September 21, when they beat the New York Giants 22-9 and fans are hoping this means things are turning around for the team. However, Kelce was seen involved in a heated exchange with coach Andy Reid during the game.
