It’s about that time.
Momentum is revving up toward the 2025-26 Portland Trail Blazers season. The organization announced today it will hold 2025 Trail Blazers Media Day next Monday, Sept. 29, followed by the team’s annual Fan Fest on Saturday, Oct. 4.
Media Day will start at 9 a.m. It’ll feature press conference interviews with Blazers President of Business Operations Dewayne Hankins, General Manager Joe Cronin and Head Coach Chauncey Billups, followed by a selection of Blazers players.
Blazer’s Edge will deliver its usual coverage and analysis of the event. I will also be back on the scene for another season as BE’s on-site reporter, providing readers a perspective from inside the building. People can watch a live stream of Media Day at trailblazers.com/now.
Fan Fest will take place the following Saturday at the Moda Center, with doors opening at 1 p.m. The event will feature an intrasquad scrimmage between Trail Blazers players beginning at 2 p.m., along with food, prizes, giveaways and other attractions. Over the last few seasons, the event has also featured karaoke performances from Blazers rookies, although it’s unclear at this point if No. 16 overall pick Yang Hansen will participate in the same ritual.
The event is free, but fans must register in advance to receive their tickets at Trailblazers.com/fanfest.
Rejoice, Blazers fans. The dog days of the NBA offseason are practically over.
