The Georgia Bulldogs host the Alabama Crimson Tide in Week 5 of the 2025 college football season and will have ABC's top broadcast crew
The No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs (3-0, 1-0 in SEC) host the No. 16 Alabama Crimson Tide (2-1, 0-0) in Week 5 of the 2025 college football season. Both Georgia and Alabama had byes heading into their Sept. 27 clash.
Alabama has won nine of the last 10 games in the series including the 2024 matchup, but the Crimson Tide have already lost once this season (31-17 at Florida State in Week 1). Alabama has looked impressive since Week 1. However, the Crimson Tide have struggled on the road under second year head coach Kalen DeBoer. Alabama is 1-4 over its last five road games and faces a Georgia team that has won 33 straight home games.
ESPN's "College GameDay" will not be in Athens for the Georgia-Alabama game, but the contest will still have ABC's top television crew. Chris Fowler will serve as the play-by-play commentator, Kirk Herbstreit will be the analyst and Holly Rowe is the sideline reported. The same broadcast crew announced the Georgia-Tennessee game.
