Fort Myers (Fla.) defensive lineman Judah Daniels told Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett on Tuesday evening that he’s committed to Florida State.
He announced an offer from the Seminoles on June 1 and is a take for the ACC program. Daniels had not announced any other offers via X prior to his pledge, though he told Fawcett that USF and FIU were other programs he considered.
Daniels is currently unranked. Florida State’s 2026 class now features 24 commitments to date.
“Through all the trials and tribulations, I’m home,” Daniels told Fawcett. “1000-percent committed. Go Noles.”
He becomes the fourth D-lineman to join the fold in Tallahassee this cycle. Florida State has the No. 15 class in the nation, per the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. That’s good for No. 3 in the ACC, behind just Miami and Clemson.
More on FSU Recruiting
Florida State has already proved that its 2-10 season last fall was not a sign of things to come. The Seminoles are off to a 3-0 start and have a win over Alabama under their belt. Head coach Mike Norvell and his staff never had a hiccup on the recruiting trail and are surging this fall.
Sitting at the top of the class is Sarasota (Fla.) Booker five-star cornerback Chauncey Kennon. The elite in-state recruit chose the Seminoles on July 6 and now checks in as the No. 28 overall prospect and No. 2 corner nationally.
Right behind Kennon is Leesburg (Fla.) Tavares four-star Izayia Williams, the top-ranked linebacker in the Rivals300. He has had a well-documented recruitment, which has witnessed commitments to Louisville, Syracuse, Florida State, Florida, Ole Miss and then Florida State once again.
Decatur (Ga.) Cedar Grove four-star DL Earnest Rankins is the highest-ranked of the now-four D-linemen in the class. Pittsburgh Pine-Richland four-star CB Jay Timmons is another Rivals outlier, as he now checks in as the No. 2 CB in the Rivals300.
Other top commits in the fold for Norvell and the Noles include: Douglasville (Ga.) Douglas County four-star wide receiver Devin Carter, Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes four-star tight end Xavier Tiller, Vero Beach (Fla.) four-star athlete Efrem White, Mustang (Okla.) four-star quarterback Jaden O’Neal and Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage four-star WR Brandon Bennett.
