Inter Milan and AC Milan announced their agreement with architectural firms Foster + Partners and MANICA yesterday but the two clubs still await the vote from Milan City Council on the sale of San Siro.
Both Milan clubs announced their partnership with the two firms, with mock-up images produced for what the new stadium could look like.
However, according to reports from the Gazzetta dello Sport, there is still a potential twist in the tale.
What Will Happen To Agreement If Council Vote No To Milan & Inter San Siro Proposal

On Thursday, Milan City Council will meet to discuss the project and next Monday, the Council will reconvene once more to vote on whether or not to approve the sale of San Siro and the surrounding land to the two clubs.
If the Council votes yes, the clubs will officially become the owners of the stadium and can proceed with plans to demolish a majority of the pre-existing structure and construct a new state-of-the-art stadium in its place.
However, if the Council votes no, San Siro will remain standing and the clubs will reportedly have to consider building elsewhere.
In this case, the prospect of Inter following Milan to San Donato would “immediately becoming a topic for discussion.”
And as for MANICA and Foster + Partners? The agreement will be terminated and both firms will put their literal and proverbial pencils away.
