Defense has 2 interceptions
Taylen Green is one of the hottest quarterbacks in the country – throwing for 12 Touchdown and over 1,000 yards already. He is an imposing figure at 6’6, but only 225, so by no means a bruiser. He has shown significant improvement based on his numbers but……there is a caveat. .While he has 12 touchdowns, only 2 of those have come against Ole Miss and Memphis. He had 6 against Alabama A&M and 4 against Arkansas State. Now, does NDs pass defense stink right now? Yes. Has Green been way better against terrible competition….also yes. So we will see what comes out on top……NDs defense or Green’s performances against Power 5 caliber opponents. They will come out throwing….as they should…..The biggest opportunity here is for Adon Schuler to help direct Tae Tae Johnson, who should be able to get his.

Ty Washington Revenge Game – 2 TDs
Washington and Arkansas had a falling out last year, leading him to be dismissed from the team. While I will not get into it, Notre Dame felt confident enough in him to open their arms to fill a need in the TE room. He will have TONs of emotions and insane desire this week, knowing how his stay in Fayetteville ended. It will be a hostile homecoming, but one that he takes advantage of. Washington started off the year banged up, but is clearly getting healthy and starting to find his groove. He had 3 catches last week and look much more confident as an H-back blocking. While Arkansas will load the box and try to stop the run, he will have some goal line plays schemed up that will reach pay dirt. I expect a 4 catch, 50 yards, and 2 TD type of day.
