VfB Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeness left open the possibility of captain Atakan Karazor returning to the team's starting line-up for their Europa League opener against Celta Vigo on Thursday.
"I won't comment on tomorrow's starting line-up. We have a lot of games and I also have to look at issues such as managing the workload," Hoeness said in a news conference on Wednesday.
In the 2-0 win against St Pauli Hamburg on Friday, Karazor started on the bench and came on only shortly before the final whistle.
All players are available, except for the injured Deniz Undav. Regardless of the starting team, Hoeness expects a difficult match.
"We should definitely be prepared to face an emotional team," he said.
During a friendly match between the two sides in summer, there were several scuffles on the pitch.
"Why should that be any different now?" Hoeness said.
"It’s very special. Floodlights, 60,000 spectators – that shouldn’t ever be taken for granted. Everyone’s looking forward to our next European journey, starting tomorrow," he added.
