The Mark Davis tenure has been littered with double-digit defeats
One of the reasons why Antonio Pierce was fired after just one full seasons as the Las Vegas Raiders head was that the team wasn’t very competitive as the team lost by double digits nine times in 2024.
That ugly trend has carried over to the Pete Carroll tenure as the 1-2 Raiders have suffered double-digit losses in the past two weeks.
But the reality is this rough trend has been ongoing for more than a decade. According to the Associated Press, the Raiders have had the third most double-digit beatdown (with 82 of them) since Mark Davis took over as the majority owner of the franchise in October, 2011.
That is is an average of nearly six double-digit defeats a season over a long sample size. Is there any way Carroll can halt that trend? So far, it doesn’t appear so.
